VACATION CHURCH SCHOOL
Summertime fun with a theme at our vacation church school.
Vacation Church School for summer 2023 will take place
Monday, June 26th to Friday June 30th from 8:45am to 1pm!
This year’s theme will be focused on the Holy Sacraments of our church. Children attending will have the opportunity to learn about the Sacraments of Baptism, Chrismation, Holy Communion, Marriage, Ordination, Holy Unction, and Confession through interactive learning along with the making of crafts, singing of hymns, and participating in outdoor games and fellowship activities. We will provide T-shirts for campers and volunteers on the first day. Please sign up by June 16th to reserve your spot! Ages entering Kindergarten to having finished sixth grade in 2022.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Camp will take place both indoors and outdoors. Your camper will need to bring a packed lunch. Please also bring a clearly labeled water bottle. The church will also have light snacks and water available, if needed. Small breakfast items will also be available from 8:45am-9:00am. Both campers and volunteers must be registered ahead of time to appropriately plan! There is a $5 fee for each camper that will be donated to our Outreach Food Pantry. Payment can be sent in to (or dropped off at) the church office by June 16th. Payments sent via mail should be sent to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3109 Scio Church Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103, with a note indicating that the money is for VCS. Volunteers do not need to pay. If the registration fee is a problem for any family, please contact the church office for an accommodation.
Campers will learn about the Holy Sacraments of our church. The week will include participating in church services, attending educational sessions provided by our parish priest, playing indoor and outdoor games, making crafts, participating in a service project, and experiencing fun and fellowship with each other!
