By Fr. Nick Kotsis - Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Christ is Risen! Christos Anesti! On behalf of Fr. Alex, Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, and godmothers in our communities. The most important “things” we can have in our lives are the relationships we build with Christ and with others. The careers we pursue, the accolades we receive, the possessions we collect are all worthless when put next to the importance and eternal nature of the relationships we make and maintain. In this light, the most important “goals” we can have in our lives, the most important people we can become to others, are as mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, aunts and uncles, and as godparents. I hope and pray that all of us take the time to thank, honor, and express love to all our mothers, grandmothers, and godmothers in our lives. The nurturing and faithfulness they have offered to us have molded us into the people we have become. The love and sacrifice they have offered to us are reflective of the love and sacrifice our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has shown. The life of a parish, indeed of any society, is marked by the relationships within it and how those relationships are maintained and honored. To this end, we are grateful to God for the loving, nurturing, faithful, dedicated, hard-working, and sacrificial mothers, grandmothers and godmothers who have made and molded us into the people we have become. We cannot thank you enough! May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ grant to all of them many years of health and happiness with their families! God bless, Fr. Nick Comments are closed.
